Elise Ureneck, M.A.
Founder and Principal
Elise Ureneck is a seasoned communications professional who lives by the adage that it’s important to “say what you mean and mean what you say.” She believes that effective communication creates a bridge between what a speaker wants to say and what an audience needs to hear.
Elise has more than 15 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations in institutional positioning and assessment, executive visibility, and communications strategy. She has served as a strategic communications advisor to and spokeswoman for a university president and a Roman Catholic bishop; managed diocesan and higher education communications departments; and served as the founding executive director of a national non-profit dedicated to the formation of young women leaders.
She has written countless statements, op-eds, press releases, radio spots, podcast scripts, and television talking points for leaders and executives across a variety of fields. Elise values her longstanding relationships with members of the media who cover religion, education, and culture and enjoys introducing them to interesting conversation partners.
Her writing has appeared in The Philadelphia Inquirer, America, First Things, and Angelus. She serves as a consultant to the Religious Liberty Committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Her most memorable professional experiences to date include serving as an on-air commentator during the 2015 apostolic visit of Pope Francis to the United States, developing the media relations strategy for a plaintiff in a Supreme Court case, and serving as the diocesan representative at the funeral Mass for legendary actress Maureen O’Hara. The bagpipes were incomparable.
